Operation precautions

1.Turbidity of water entering the bed.

If the turbidity of water entering the bed is high, it will bring too many impurities to the filter layer. These impurities are trapped in the filter layer and block the gap between the filter tanks, hindering the adsorption effect. If it runs for a long time, the filter medium will age and fail. Therefore, it is best to control the turbidity of water entering the filter below 5 mg/L to ensure its stable operation.

2.Backwash cycle.

The length of the backwash cycle is the main factor affecting the effect of FRP multimedia filter. If the backwash cycle is too short, the backwash water will be wasted; if the backwash cycle is too long, the adsorption effect of the filter medium will be affected.

Generally speaking, when the turbidity of water entering the bed is below 5 mg/L, it should be backwashed once every 4 to 5 days.

3.Backwash intensity.

During the backwashing of the filter, the expansion rate of the filter layer has a greater impact on whether the filter layer is thoroughly flushed. If the expansion of the filter layer is too small, the filter medium in the lower layer cannot be suspended and its surface is not cleaned; when the expansion is too large, it is easy to leak. During operation, the expansion rate is generally controlled to be 40%~50. Backwash intensity is 13~15L (m2·s)

4.Backwash time.

Generally, when the filter layer expansion rate is 40%~50% and the backwash intensity is 13~15L (m2·s), the backwash time of the filter is 8~10min.
